About our Sausages

We use the best meats we can find. Sometimes people get the wrong idea about hot dogs, but this isn't a sad soggy little sausage. There are SO MANY cheaper sausages out there, but seriously...no thanks. Get your roller dogs from the gas station, they sell it cheap so you will buy their gas. Trust us, either way you'll end up with gas.

We use natural casing Sabrett's 100% beef franks, New York City's #1 brand franks for that snap, even though they cost 150% what the skinless version costs. Quality comes at a price, and we want you to come back for that old-fashioned quality, the best hot dog you can find.

Why hot dogs? Hot dogs are America's original street food. Memories of hot dog vendors from our childhood may give us that feeling of nostalgia. And when we run our small hot dog carts (as opposed to enclosed trailers and trucks) cooked sausages are the only food allowed by the Department of Health. When was the last time you checked a vendor's permits? Well, come ask about ours. We are also happy to share our health inspection records with you.

What else do we serve? Well, we have jumbo freshly-baked pretzels (again, we get the better quality ones even though they cost more). We also have seasonal specials. During Oktoberfest we unleash our local Knackwurst from Pearl Meat Packing in Randolph, Massachusetts, as well as Bratwurst from Sheboygan, Wisconsin or, when available, imported from Germany. And what would these sausages be without our special sauerkraut with juniper berries, caraway seeds, apple, and white wine? Sometimes we serve local Italian sausages with peppers and onions. We are currently under construction for an acceptable fire suppression system to allow us to serve hand-cut potato chips and French fries, as well as mini donuts. We also may run some occasional specials whenever we are inspired to do something new.
